2015-05-14 International Book Fair and Literary Festival BOOK WORLD 2015

The 21st largest Czech book fair “Book World Prague” was held from 14th to 17th May 2015 with Egypt as the guest of honour. Czech readers unveil its cultural history and the present time with the motto "Discover Egypt after two revolutions”. Besides the Egyptian national stand there were nearly 400 exhibitors from 25 countries in 194 stands. The book fair was visited by more than 38 000 visitors during four days. They could choose from nearly five hundred accompanying programs in the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds as well as other places in Prague. Masaryk University Press presented the latest books published by the university and its faculties and highlighted some new interesting books in course of accompanying events: RNDr. Ivan Mrázek signed his successful award-winning book "Gemstones of ancient civilizations” and authors from the Institute of Population Studies FSS MU discussed about the issues of how we are getting married, how we are born, divorced and how we live in old age in the Czech Republic.
