Book World Prague 2014

20th International book fair and literary festival Book World Prague was held from 15th to 18th May 2014 in the Palace of Industry, Prague Exhibition Grounds. This year there were more than 400 exhibitors from 26 countries, Guest of honour was Hungary. During four exhibition days 38,000 visitors visited the fair. The stand of Masaryk University Press celebrated this year’s anniversary of Masaryk University not only by its vivid colour scheme but also by presenting an exhibition about university’s publishing "95 years of editorial activities". The photographs show the discussion with the authors of the latest books by Masaryk University Press: Rudolf Musil (Moravia during the Ice Age. Illustrations by Petr Modlitba) and Václav Vávra and Jindřich Štelcl (Important geological locations of Moravia and Silesia). Our authors participated also in the ceremony of Dictionary of the year award – Vladimír Spousta and his Music-literary dictionary in three volumes was awarded the jury’s award for biographical dictionary.
