Miroslav Ivanov Prize for Memoirs and Biographical Literature for "Memoirs" by Karel Engliš
The editorial team of the book published by Karel Engliš "Memoirs. Those Who Serve Their Country Don't Expect to Get Rewarded" received the Miroslav Ivanov Literary Prize for non-fiction literature in the category of MEMOIRS AND BIOGRAPHIC LITERATURE. The ceremony was held in the Václav Havel Library in Prague.
The book presents the autobiography of Karel Engliš (1880 Hrabyně – 1961 Hrabyně), a previously unpublished manuscript of a memoir. It was published in 2022 in cooperation with the Masaryk Institute and the CAS archives as the fourth volume of the Masaryk University series "The Work of Karel Engliš" in the "Homage to Personalities" series.
The jury also liked the art publication "Míla Doleželová". It was published by our publishing house last year as well. It was shortlisted in the LITERARY AND ART category.
Many congratulations!
